Drawfacts Methodology
The results of all flat races in UK & Eire are analysed and recorded in box grids for each course and for different distances. This data is retained for max 10 years on a rolling basis. For each course you will be able to see winners stall placings based on the number of stalls used in the race and also as a percentage of wins for each stall number. For right handed tracks all results were amended after the stall numbering on these tracks was 'reversed' a few years back! These grids are generally updated annually on the website and are available in PDF format so they should work on mobiles and tablets as well as PC's. I hope the grids are easy to follow. To assist users the best stalls are highlighted in bold type. If there are any dead heat results these are recorded as 0.5 in the data instead of 1.0 for a standard winner. The data base is being gradually updated in 2024. Please note that data for Newcastle & Chelmsford AW tracks the data cover only a shorter period so may be less reliable! There are few flat meetings at Wetherby so no reliable data is currently available. For Southwell's new tapeta surface, separate statistics are being collected as if it is a new track. Irish tracks are included if there are sufficient meetings held each year to make the statistics reasonably reliable although courses with only a handful of meetings each year need to be treated with caution.
